Do you, or does one of your family members or neighbours struggle with their garden? Has it become too much for them? Are they a senior citizen, live with chronic illness, have reduced mobility or a disability? Are they unable to pay for gardening services? Do they live between the River Itchen and the River Hamble in Southampton, Hampshire? Here at Magnolias Garden Care I support residents in need with our nominate a garden scheme. I donate three hours of my time to a different person each month providing garden maintenance services. On the last day of each month I randomly draw a name from the list of nominees out of a hat, for support with their garden in the coming month. This is an entirely free service, with no strings attached.

    How does the nominee meet the eligibility criteria?

    ELIGIBILITY

    • Only open to senior citizens, people with reduced mobility, chronic illness, or a disability.
    • Must be a permanent resident / home owner between the Itchen River and the Hamble River in Southampton, Hampshire, UK.
    • Proof of eligibility will be requested at the home visit appointment.

    TERMS

    • A nominee will be randomly drawn from the list on the last day of the month.
    • The person who completed the online form will be contacted to arrange the service.
    • Home visit appointment required to assess eligibility and garden needs.
    • After the home visit an appointment will be made to carry out the service.
    • The service must be taken within one month of winning.
    • Provision of light garden maintenance services only; no landscaping or garden design.
    • Promotional photos and video to be taken of the garden service.
    • No garden waste removal included.
    • Cancellations and rescheduling appointments require 24 hours notice.
    • No cash alternative.
    • To remove the nominee's name from the list please contact me.
